The Warehouse by Rob Hart came out in August and if you enjoyed The Circle by Dave Eggers you'll love this! The world has been taken over by Cloud, a massive on line retail store - so massive that hundreds of their workers live on each site. The story begins with new recruits Paxton and Zinnia starting and we see through their eyes what it is like to work there...being monitored constantly and having near impossible targets to meet. We discover early on that Zinnia is a corporate spy and the last half of the book is really exciting as she discovers the secrets Cloud is hiding. I really enjoyed this! If you love dystopian thrillers, that are a little too realistic for comfort, this one is for you! I read The Hate U Give back in July 2017 and rated it 5 stars! On the plane home last week I watched the movie version and it was as good as the book. The last 3 books I read, all while on holiday in the fabulous and slightly mad Disneyland bubble! I loved them all. So pleased to finally read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and This is Going to Hurt as they've both sat on my shelves for far too long! And I've read others by Paula Daly and Clear My Name didn't disappoint. All highly recommended as fantastic holiday reads! We are home! We had an amazing trip to Disneyworld in Florida. We had very hot weather and lots of rain and tropical storms. We ate some great food and enjoyed all the rides. And most importantly we enjoyed time together as a family, something that is becoming increasingly hard to do with our busy lives! I loved reading on the balcony at our hotel room! Well our holiday is coming to an end...today is our last full day. So here is a picture of my current read, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo with the iconic castle at Magic Kingdom. I'm loving this book so much...the glamour of Hollywood in bygone times really appeals to me.
