So I thought a good first post would be to tell you some of my goals for 2018.
- To make a dent in my TBR shelf. I’ve probably got almost 100 books waiting to be read. I’ve been lucky enough to be sent some books from publishers in 2017 and I love a charity shop bargain. Funnily enough I rarely buy “new” books as I don’t feel I can justify it when I’ve so many to read. So my aim is to try not to buy any books until April…
- To read more children’s classics. Despite being read to and reading lots as child, there are many classic children’s stories I haven’t read (or don’t remember). So I’m going to try and read at least one a month. Some I have in mind as The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and Pollyanna.
- Goodreads 2018 reading challenge is set for 65 which means I have to read 1 book every 5 days. I think this is achievable so fingers crossed. I read 80 in 2017 but a lot of these were verse books which have a lot less words than normal novels.
- To keep using my local library. Libraries are so important and if we don’t support them we’ll lose them.
